Tom Cochrane brings duo show to McPherson Playhouse Nov. 2

Canadian rock icon Tom Cochrane will play the McPherson Playhouse in Victoria on Monday, Nov. 2, with doors for a 7:30 p.m. show, as part of a fall Canadian tour that runs through mid-November.¹²

The Victoria date is billed as "Tom Cochrane Duo," a stripped-down format he is also using at nearby stops in Duncan on Nov. 1 and Campbell River on Nov. 3.¹³ The show is presented by Got Pop? Concerts and Gee Dan Productions.⁴

The stop is part of a run of Canadian dates that started in Grande Prairie, Alberta, in August, passed through Toronto, Ladner and Calgary in September, and continues through British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan into mid-November, with the tour wrapping up in Cranbrook on Nov. 12.² Several of the later stops, including Cold Lake, Moose Jaw, Lethbridge and Kamloops, add Canadian singer Amanda Marshall to the bill, but no opening act is listed for the Victoria show.²⁵

Cochrane, born in Lynn Lake, Manitoba, built his career with the band Red Rider before launching a solo career built on hits including "Life Is a Highway," "Big League" and "Washington Wall." His catalogue also includes "Lunatic Fringe," recorded with Red Rider.²

The McPherson Playhouse, a 772-seat heritage theatre at 3 Centennial Square that opened in 1914, has hosted Cochrane before, including a 2023 date.⁶⁴

Tickets for the Nov. 2 show are available through ticket resellers including Vivid Seats and Event Tickets Center, with prices reported in the range of roughly $120 to $210 depending on seating, and through the venue's usual box office channels.³⁷ The McPherson Playhouse has a capacity of 772 seats, split between orchestra and balcony levels.⁷

Cochrane's tour has already taken him to some high-profile stages this year. He performed at the halftime show of a 2026 FIFA World Cup match between Switzerland and Colombia at BC Place in Vancouver in July.⁸
